What a great addition to the area. Food was excellent and our server James was great. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. We never had to ask for anything. Will definitely be back.

The server was lovely, the ambience was nice, the presentation was beautiful. The food was simply way too sweet. We had five appetizers and an entrée. Our measure of good cuisine is delicious natural subtlety enhanced with careful preparation and seasoning; unfortunately, this was like "candy food" We left with an unpleasant and unsatisfying feeling of having eaten candy for dinner. The garlic butter is awesome!
(2)Mark K.
Tomatoe Stack is amazing!!! Love salads with no lettuce. Wonder Bar is my favorite desert ever. The whole staff is great. Bravo all the way around...
(5)Rick N.
Extremely tasty all around. Brunch has a fresh and wide menu with some amazing stand outs: French toast, salmon salad and wonder bar for dessert. Nice wine by glass list and solid service.

I loved Leila's. I wasn't sure if pearl district would be as good. However my expectations where surpassed. The staff was beyond amazing. They were friendly, attentive m; it was like they always had the perfect timing. What truly made my dining experience phenomenal was scott. He was our bartender. I have never had someone give such great service. Scott did everything to make sure that we were happy. The food was phenomenal. But Scott's service sold me. I will be back.
(5)Kevin M.
Without a doubt the best place to eat in Westlake. Erick the GM was extremely gracious and accommodating. Not only did he go the extra mile to make sure we were happy and comfortable, but took the time to make us a few specialty cocktails himself. They were amazing. Dinner was unbelievable. Lobster tempura is off the chart. All around, fantastic food, incredible service - awesome experience from start to finish.

Don't go to this restaurant! Bad service, sugary food! And expensive to boot. The owner is not nice and doesn't care about his customers. The restaurant is in a strip mall and it's wait staff and management is like a Sharkys restaurant with Beverly Hills prices. Be prepared to wait a long time to eat and they couldn't care less.

Jacob was an attentive waiter. Dressings/sauces on food were very rich; recommend asking for it on the side. Beet salad and crispy skin branzino were very good and big portions. Heirloom tomato stack was good but too "busy". Southern fried chicken breast was also good. We will definitely return.
(4)Paul F.
nice spot in WLV. Nice bar, great menu. food is good, a bit pricey, but it works. Sister restaurant to Leila's, similar menu and kitchen. We will make it a regular stop in the SFV.
(4)Mike A.
My family had been Leila's fans for years. My wife and I brought some friends and tried Pearl District this weekend. To our surprise, it is even better that we could have hoped! Everything was stellar. Service was top notch, food was astonishing, ambiance ideal for couples or large groups, even the cocktails were some of the best I remember trying. I highly recommend.

Owned by the folks at Leila's, no doubt looking to take advantage of the foot traffic at Westlake Plaza, Pearl District has potential. Brand new and not worthy of five stars yet Pearl District restaurant is narrow with a bar along one wall and seating separated by glass on the other. Elevated seating by the window a la Fin's, and private dining room in the back for around 12. The service is attentive and friendly so off to a good start there. We had lobster tempura and lamb meatballs in a Middle Eastern tomato sauce. Tempura and lobster is just a waste. Good lobster doesn't need tempura batter and it was one piece for $19 so it was too little for too much. If they swap it out for shrimp it will taste just as good and you can have more food on the plate. Served with mayonnaise and Siracha I felt it was an easy and boring dish from the kitchen. It tasted fine but it was just predictable. But the lamb meatballs were out of this world yummy. I asked for shaved cheese and they provided Pecorino which to me was heaven and should be included in the dish. It just made it and was one of the very best things I've eaten in recent memory. The wine list was disappointing for me and surprising given what a great list Leila's has. I have one gripe about Leila's and hopefully Pearl District doesn't go this way. I find that while Leila's does some things very well and has an excellent regional wine list, their menu is too rich for me with a reliance on mayonnaise and Siracha type sauces. Pearl District will do well, as will their sister restaurant, to lighten it up a little bit with fresh ingredients and less rich saucy presentations. I like that Pearl is not another Italian restaurant, thank goodness. And I think they will do well to walk down the road they've begun with that lamb meatball dish. One final note to owners, great hires with staff we met. Really nice people working hard to make sure everyone is happy. Makes such a difference, good job.

Leila's has been my favorite restaurant for a long time so I was excited to see that owners opened another restaurant. My expectations were high partly because of the reviews here and partly because Leila's is so good. Even with such high expectations, I wasn't at all disappointed. The oysters were fabulous, the ahi tuna appetizer was superb and the swordfish entrée was outstanding. Of course the fresh bread was warm and delicious too. The only thing I wouldn't order again were the lamb meatballs. They were OK but not as great tasting as everything else. There were so many other things on the menu that looked good to try so I can't wait to go back. Yes it is on the pricey side but at least it was well worth it. The service was also excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant.
(5)Michael S.
AMAZING! Everything I have tried is absolutely delicious!! Get the Brussels Sprouts appetizer it is like nothing you have ever had... Out of this world. Great atmosphere, great drinks and such friendly service. And did I mention how good the food is! My wife says this is her new favorite restaurant.
(5)David S.
Outstanding restaurant. The Tuna appetizer and Kale salad were fantastic and the swordfish and Bronzino fish were cooked to perfection. Service was impeccable. Best restaurant in Westlake. David
(5)Christina O.
Fantastic service, wine and food! The meatballs are a nice app, the swordfish with Harissa is amazing paired with a good OR Pinot, the duck was out of this world! Wonderful to have a great new place in Westlake Village! Small though, so make reservations.
(5)Scott E.
Easy review. This was the best dinner I have had in years. Plus the chef was making sure all was ok. He told me how he made the beet dish. Wish was out of the world. The salmon and the filet mignon were amazing.
(5)Gigi B.
Delicious and well crafted. I would go back in a heartbeat.
(5)Garry e.
As a huge fan of Leila's over the years, I was keen to try Pearl District when it opened, and I was certainly not disappointed. We went with friends and ordered a selection of appetizers and entrees to have on the table family style as we all wanted to try everything. There was not one thing we didn't like. Great atmosphere, great service and even better food. Love it all We will be back for sure.
(5)C A.
Dinner was very good on the four plates we ordered. Service was excellent. My only issue is the very back room can be quite loud. Definitely a great place to go and enjoy food and a few glasses of wine.
(4)Heidi K.
I love this new addition to Westlake Village dining!! Pearl District is my new favorite! We were in a group of 8 which was perfect because we ordered and tried almost all of the appetizers! They were ALL fantastic, but the standouts for me were the brussel sprouts with honey and mint and the ahi! My tomato soup was great and my filet mignon was cooked perfectly. Our waitress was so knowledgable of the menu...impressive because Pearl District is so new! I also loved the layout of the restaurant because each section seems more intimidate than a traditional restaurant where everyone sits in the same big room. I won't hesitate for a second to go back and am looking forward to it! Pearl District knocked it out of the park!
(5)Brianna R.
Came here for the first time on my anniversary. It was awesome!! Cool decor, great very attentive bartender that knows his shit. The short rib appetizer was by far the best. It's perfectly tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. This place also has my most favorite brussel sprouts. I liked it so much I took my girlfriends a few days later. I'll be having many more visits to come
(5)Denis R.
Absolutely delicious. Chef Richie DeMane has done it again, just like he is doing at Leila's. The quality, presentation, and flavors of DeMane's offerings are incredible, including his delicious upscale twists on Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese, as well as his indulgent take on mac & cheese. We've been to Pearl District four times since it opened in late December. The Swordfish, Chicken, Udon Noodles, and Duck are exceptional. Don't forget to order the fresh hot bread and garlic herb butter. It's just a slice of heaven in Westlake Village
(5)Skye B.
everything we had was simply fantastic. not over the top with portions - or seasonings - just enough. perfect actually. I'm picky with dining but this place is really good. The appetizers are stand-out and superb. Great wine and beer list with an interesting cocktail list. I think they need a few non-alcoholic elixir options but that's my preference. Next time maybe we will sit in the front room which looked cozy.

It has been a long time since I have given a one star review and I eat out at least 500 times a year between lunch and dinner. One star due to service and food. To start, the fried chicken at $25 would have been much better at KFC. First, the waitress had the personality of someone attending a funeral. When I go out on a Saturday night, I'm there for fun and don't need the waitress to kill the atmosphere. Other items: water not refilled timely, I ordered a delicious Brussels sprout appetizer, but the waitress failed to mention it was also the side dish for my entrée so I wasn't interested in too much of a good thing, the chicken was flavorless (everyone in our party of 4 agreed), never had any person ask how the meal was going until after the entrée was completed so we could not correct the foul fowl, when the waitress finally asked how the meal was going as the entrée plates where being cleared and the chicken was untouched on the plate and I said "terrible chicken," no one asked or cared my meal was bad (they did manage to bill me for the chicken) (and as a fair side note, my fellow dinner had the honey chicken-a different type two weeks ago and said that it was delicious). I also ordered a double espresso with a biscotti or other similar cookie for dessert and the espresso was delivered by the bus boy who didn't bother to ask if I wanted sweetener with it. I waited five minutes for my cookie (the first time I saw the deadpan waitress after the espresso was served) and she said they had no cookies of the type I wanted and walked away. She then got the message of everyone in shock and she came back and offered to bring me a cookie that is usually served with ice cream (I said yes) and I said I also needed sweeter for my now cold espresso. Of course, billed $2.99 for the cookie and espresso. here is a clue.....when serving coffee drinks, make certain to ask this question "can I get you any sweeter?" and don't just drop it off and run. And if you don't have an ordered dessert or anything else on the menu that is ordered, tell the customer you don't have it on the menu. Duh! And lastly and most important "smile." Maybe your having a bad day, but when my table spends $250 on dinner, we want to leave the reality of children behind and have a good time. (PS: add some flavor to your butter served with the bread. Mike liked it on 2/6 but we thought it was a bit flavorless, perhaps a little honey would be a good addition). And the last straw that dropped this review from two to one stars, when I asked to see a manager to take the chicken off the bill, I first got an objection that he was aware I didn't like it, but they should have been given a chance to fix it during the meal. First, I shouldn't have to ask to see the manager...if he knows I don't like the meal, come over as soon as you find out and not before I ask, and second, you need to make certain that about three to five minutes after I receive the meal, someone has to come by and see how the meal is going. This is no Denny's , I expect a higher level of service (oh yea, at Denny's they would come by and ask how the meal is going...never mind).

Sat at the bar tonight for dinner with Jenna and Sco(:)tt tending to us. Our meal was delicious, the Branzino and Brussel sprouts were amazing and their attention to mix was unsurpassed. Coming back soon!!!
(5)Renee B.
One word: Delicious! Our server was Jacob and he was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We had the cauliflower appetizer special, brussel sprouts, short ribs, and meatballs for appetizers. The brussel sprouts were hands-down the best we've ever eaten. We also ordered the Branzino for our entree to split...wow...did we eat a lot of good food! The appetizers were generous portions and the flavors were tremendously bold and tasty. Thank you for a wonderful meal...we'll definitely be back!
(5)Kenny C.
Brand new place. Great location. Food is amazing. Just as good, if not better than their other restaurant, Leila's. Bar is terrific for grabbing a drink with friends. Scotty was our bartender, and he made the evening even more enjoyable. Looking forward to the summer when the patio opens.
(5)Nadine M.
So good. Thanks yelpers for the recommendations. We loved the lobster tempura, braised short ribs, and the Scottish salmon. All good!
(5)Magda L.
This place is amazing ! We tried so many different dishes and everything was so delicious. The service was fantastic and ambience perfect. Excellent place to convene after a long day or to celebrate a special occasion. We celebrated my mom's birthday with a group of 7 and everyone was thrilled. Just the right amount of special without being stuffy or superficial. Great veggie options and a range of options that satisfy a diverse palate :) Highly recommend !
(5)Heat M.
This is a gem of a place, it's so unique and they have a very good beer and wine selection. I tried Allagash on tap, a beer that I never heard of and its honestly the best beer I've had in years.. Local California micro. The bartender Scott was so attentive and the simple Mac n cheese order was fantastic, that is one good chef!! Westlake you're missing out on something special here if you don't at least try it, all I can say is wow!

This restaurant is hitting on all cylinders. The service was very good. The menu is great. The food came out in a timely manner and was the right temperature. Flavorful food, fresh and attractive. I ordered the roasted beet salad, the duck breast and the chocolate brulee. All were great. I liked the desert because it was rich with chocolate flavor but not too sweet. The portion was just right too. I liked the atmosphere and mood, it was comfortable and relaxing. I think the price was fair for the town and what you got. I have nothing bad to report.

We went here to celebrate my father's 70th birthday. We were offered an early seating of 5pm due to some confusion surrounding the use of a gift certificate we had for Leila's which prevented us from making our reservation earlier in the week. Peyman was very accommodating and assured us we would have a great experience at Pearl District. When we arrived, there were no other diners. We were immediately shown to a table in the far corner of the restaurant as close to the kitchen as you could get. There was also a small window just above our table where one of the computers was located. Several servers and other employees stood at the computer and were continually peering into the window over our table. It was a bit distracting, but we still enjoyed the atmosphere as best we could. For the most part, our server was attentive and took good care of us. The brussel sprouts were good and the filet was delicious, but the prices were pretty steep. When we told our server we were there to celebrate my father's 70th birthday, he asked us to order a dessert and he would put a candle in the dessert. I felt like this was just poor customer service. The bill for 4 of us and 2 children (who shared a meal) was nearly $400. The only reason I am not giving Pearl District one star is because I have to admit the food is really good, but we frequent Mastro's and I can guarantee you that the experience we had at Pearl District would never happen there...from the time you walk into Mastro's, until the time you leave, priceless!

Everything was absolutely outstanding: every bite, service, waiter's recommendations. Can't wait to go back!
(5)Kenzy W.
We decided to try out Pearl District after hearing rave reviews from our neighbors. The food is unbelievable and so was the service! Our server Megan was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us excellent suggestions. In fact the table sitting next to us commented to us that she was absolutely charming and they gave us dessert suggestions. We will definitely be back!!!
(5)Matthew B.
Loved this place! Best bar in town, it was like going to a restaurant in NYC. Kale salad was unbelievable, Steak was cooked to perfection and not $50, short ribs were the bomb, service was awesome. We loved the bread, it wasn't your traditional bread that's been sitting around for 4 hours (it was baked hot to order and the butter was mouthwatering, we actually ordered another round of bread it was so good!). I definitely recommend this place, a Home Run for Westlake Village!
(5)Mervyn H.
Meal was good but outrageously expensive. Approx $100 for two without drinks. Menu on the short side. Charged extra for bread on the table. Waitress was charming!
(4)Ed K.
Went here the other night for our anniversary dinner. We were very exciting having read all the great reviews for food, service and ambiance. Unfortunately all three were just OK. Food was fresh and cooked properly, but lacked anything memorable. My wife's Copper River Salmon was a nice piece of fish, but unfortunately tasted just like a piece of fish. I would have thought some salt and more creativity with the supporting components and spices would have been a no brainer for the chef. The service was basically OK the only complaint is the waiter rolled his eyes when we asked were the lamb was sourced from. HE felt that it didn't make a big difference but to anyone who knows their food there IS a big difference between fresh domestic vs frozen New Zealand or Australian turn out theirs is New Zealand so we passed. We always get deserts especially for special occasion meals but we found the handful of choices just unappealing to us. The decor was what I would call Industrial Chic seemes like they did a nice job repurposing the old Finns location. They seem to have won over quite a few followers so I am sure they won't miss the fact that we won't be back anytime soon.
(2)Brian S.
It has the unmistakable feeling of a fresh new space, designed with thoughtful consideration of tasteful aesthetics. Although located in fairly generic row of storefronts, Pearl District managed to create its own distinctly unique environment. It's casual upscale, if you will. The service was amazing without being even slightly pretentious. The bread is baked one loaf at a time, made to order. I thought it sounded like a gimmick, but I assure you it is not. I had the filet mignon placed atop truffle mashed potatoes. Sounds good? It's not. It's stellar. It is not of this world and I will be back again. My wife had the halibut and was overjoyed. Perfection. The cocktails were $14. Ouch. But you know what? They tasted like $20 drinks so I will complain no more about that. $156 for two people is only pricey if you are paying for atmosphere or prestige only. But when you are served up amazing food by a staff that knows how to make you feel welcome, you just got a deal!
(5)Patty D.
Easily one of the best restaurants in the area. I'm a fairly picky eater and my last visit here was perfect. I was at the 4 seasons around the corner and the food was better here. Loved the Tapas style appetizers to start (Moroccan meatballs and Brussels sprouts) and I had an excellent veal entree. I ended up recommend my boss to this place for her anniversary dinner and she loved it too. I will be returning tonight for round two!
(5)Heather H.
Food is pretty great. The decor is nice, think dark wood, Edison bulbs and earth tones. How very Pacific Northwest of them. I had the filet mignon and it was incredibly good. It was cooked just the way I ordered it. The mixed drinks were perfection too, smooth and strong. It's nice to have a serious food place like this out here in the Conejo. The service was polite and helpful and not snooty at all. The bar looked well-stocked and would probably be a perfect place to grab a nice drink or glass of wine (great wine selection to be found here too!). Minus one star because I expected with the name "Pearl District" there would be some more of a PNW influence in the menu. Most of the seafood seemed to be from everywhere but the PNW. Also, I had to take at least one star off for not having a beer list worthy of the name "Pearl District". Seriously, no Lucky Lab, Breakside, Deschutes, Burnside or any other of the plentiful and fabulous Portland breweries represented?! Not alright.
(4)Roger H.
Very good food and service. The inside was a bit loud. They moved us to the patio and it was much better. Overall a very good restaurant.
(4)Juliane D.
Unbelievable food. Owner Payman Afshar and Richy DeMans are a dynamic duo. Highlights were the crispy skinned Branzino, perfectly sauced and served over lovely fingerling potatoes, The Summer peach salad had a lucious dollop of Burratta cheese, drizzled with a balsamic reduction and pomegranate seeds atop arugula with fresh sliced peaches. We really enjoyed the Lobster Tempura appetizer and the Lemon Pannacotta dessert was the right mix of sweet, tart and creaminess. It was so refreshing.
(5)Randy B.
Sleek design with dark woods, grey walls, and large mirrors. It's a bit narrow, with the main dining room one table wide, and the back room a bit claustrophobic. Still, it's classy and upscale, with white tableclothes and candles. Nice. The menu is a bit small and limited = seasonal and rotates, and one item in each category. Don't find something you are looking for, you can mix and match preparations. Beyond great is that they carry Allagash Curiuex ($12), so the rest of this evening is gravy. 1. Crispy Brussels Sprouts ($11) -- no. It's good, but not even great compared to a dozen other restaurants I favor. (3.5 stars) 2. Copper River Salmon ($29) -- served with a cherry reduction sauce, over mashed peas and a half dozen asparagus. Cherry reduction was to die for, but the copper river salmon was the 4th best out of 4 that I've tried. Not the fault of the chef, per say, but it was the most fishy. (4.0 stars) 3. Fresh berries & Cream ($9) -- delicious and ample amount of berries and fresh cream. (5.0 stars) Great service, nice atmosphere, but food was good but not great. Still, this a place to go to for some romance, a nice outing, or an all paid business function.

A small but wonderful restaurant serving an interesting take on American dishes. The menu is small, but varied.........with enough items for anyone to find something tantalizing. Everything was delicious. Amazing amounts of flavor (what I live for!), beautiful plate presentation, plentiful portions, all freshly and expertly prepared. Ambience is great with a cool vibe, candles on each table, quite nice. As for the food, my husband ordered as an entrée the Pork Tenderloin, which came with carrots, bok choy, and admittedly, neither of us can remember what starch it came with. I don't eat pork tenderloin, so I didn't pay much attention to anything other than how beautiful the plate looked and the fact that he truly enjoyed it. I ordered the Crispy Skin Branzino, which is my absolute favorite fish. I have to say that this preparation of branzino was, hands down, the best I've ever had. Soft fish, crispy skin, fantastic flavor in a garlic lemon butter. It was lovely, and the roasted grape tomatoes, capers, zucchini and fingerling potatoes that accompanied it were equally as delicious. For appetizers, my husband ordered the white cheddar gouda fondue mac 'n cheese (with bacon), which, because of the bacon, I didn't care for. I know, I know...... but I am one of the few lost souls on this earth who doesn't eat or like bacon. Don't hate me. I did, however, like the tuna meatballs (strange, huh?) in harissa sauce. I have one complaint about this dish....... there were only 3 tiny meatballs, and I mean tiny...... like the size of a nickel, and it really didn't justify the amount of sauce or the price that they were charging for such a small portion. Appetizer or not, that was ridiculous, and even if they were that small, give some more for the amount of sauce that was there. Yet, they tasted good, and the Harissa sauce, while spicy, was very flavorful. I almost forgot..... shortly after being seated, they bring a loaf of warm, soft bread with this amazing herbed butter, and both the bread and butter were delicious. Really good. As for the other end of the meal, we were too full for dessert, but maybe next time, we will try some. This is a very nice restaurant that we will certainly return to. The food here is expertly prepared, and it is quite apparent they know what they are doing at Pearl District.

Impressive! Pearl District's plain good. Tuesday evening dinner & I entered skeptical. Westlake Village's upscale restaurants are almost always more bark than bite, but turns out this isn't the story for Pearl District. Their menu's interesting without being too obsure & the atmosphere's similarly stylish without trying too hard. Everything was good, from distinct drinks to classic desserts. I recommend starting with the Oaxacan Heat, a mezcal-pineapple cocktail with a smooth mix of sweet and spicy. Another standout's the appetizer brussel sprouts, which are a great starter or entree add-on. The serving size is very generous, plus the unique addition of mint make them a total table-pleaser. All the meats & fish were cooked to perfection - short ribs, branzino, & pork chop served with a beautiful sear but still wonderfully tender throughout. Service was mostly attentive without hovering, but got a little lax towards the end when we were looking to close our check. Either way we had a great first experience with PD & look forward to returning.

Me and my girlfriend went here for dinner. We ordered some appetizers. That arrived quick but the main entree took some 20-25 minutes. But here's the story, we heard plates fell on the floor.. So we ignored, after 10 minutes all our food (entree) came and was served except for my other friend. Waiter came back and apologized for one entree missing and said that he didn't forget about it but unfortunately it fell on the floor and that was the reason why we heard some plates break earlier. Really? That was 10 minutes before our food was served. Ok fine. Now when the fish came, I think they rushed cooking it as it was too fishy smelling. The restaurant has some good food but I think it is a little bit pricey. The fish was $37, my pork tenderloin was $27 a glass of wine is $15 etc. our total bill was $410 for 6 people. And the decor inside was nothing really fancy. Service was ok, they are not attentive with refilling water.

My friend and I popped by around 4 pm last night but they were not open yet. She was famished and I am on East Coast time, so we went elsewhere to eat and came back for drinks. Has a nice feel to it, very different on the interior than Finn's and more like the Proprietor's former restaurant Leila's. Kind of dark and elegant. Menu looks great. Can't wait to try it. The bartender Jenna is really who this review is about, she was terrific! She made us some unique drinks, you could tell she has quite a palette, when she made me a vodka orange cherry concoction from heaven, and then we found out she went to culinary school - but of course! Anyhow, when we walked in the bar was entirely packed and we felt very underdressed, turns out it was a wedding party, but the bartender greeted us with grace and a homespun courtesy that made us really feel cared for and is a lovely service quality. She waxed poetic about the menu too so looking forward to going back for dinner. So our experience was great! Kudos to the new spot!

Excited to be here since we love Leila's! The food has more Asian fusion theme. Loved the appetizers roasted cauliflower and seared ahi tuna. My entrée halibut was good but a little dry and the steamed rice made it very dry altogether. It had great ambience and service!

The husband and I tried this place for the first time on Friday. We appreciated that we were able to get in on somewhat last minute notice. We started with the green salad (cannot recall the name) with buttermilk dressing and bacon - very tasty and it arrived quickly. I had the fried chicken which was out of this world good, and hubby and the short rib pasta. He liked it pretty well, but thought it was a smidge on the sweet side. I had a near perfect Chopin martini with a twist. Service was friendly and professional and helpful, but our server disappeared after our order was taken as far as checking in with us. Water glasses were empty for a long time, until we flagged someone down. Had to wait a long time for the check and after our meals were done he didn't check in with us for a very long time. However, it was busy and it was a Friday night. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

This was our second time for dinner, our first experience was great food and service were on point. We went back specifically for the noodles, apparently they removed the dish from the menu, so we tried other options. We ordered cocktails, while awaiting dinner, bread was served with our drinks. It was taking a while for the entrees to arrive, we asked for more bread. The bus person, cleared the bread board and plates, thought this was odd. The server then came to the table to inform us that additional bread would cost 4.00. We were both taken back since our check was over 130.00 with drinks. The fried chicken was very well prepared, however the beef and pasts dish, was much more ordinary, salty and was attempting to play off a Chef Boy Ardee beef and noodle in a can. Unfortunately, we had not experienced the same quality and food value as our first visit, we vowed not to return.
(2)Giselle E.
We were with a large party in the back private dining room (major plus having this separate room). The staff were very attentive and on top of everything from refills to clearing the table between each course. Food came out in a timely manner and was beautifully presented. Love the change in decor and renovations (used to be Fins). Light fixtures are modern, bar is spacious and comfy, booths are nice, and top seating area in the front is very nice. Each section makes it feel very intimate. Starters: Ahi Cocktail- delicious sauce, fresh fish and crispy wontons Prime Beef Short Rib- melts in your mouth and the sauce is divine Brussel sprouts- honey was a great touch! Crispy and cooked perfectly Kale salad- beautiful purple kale was full of flavor and loved the crispy chickpeas Scottish salmon- cooked perfectly with flaky moist bites. Okinawa purple sweet potato purée is out of this world good! I could eat a bowl of it alone! Pork Chop- spicy, saucy, moist and delicious Hawaiian Swordfish- cooked to perfection! Udon Noddles- Asian flavor bomb! The broth was to die for! Chocolate pot-de-creme- small yet mighty chocolate dessert Berry cobbler- crunchy topping with sweet filling and a perfect scoop of vanilla bean ice cream (my favorite dessert here) Bread pudding- delicious! Cookies & cream- crunchy cookies with scoop of white pistachio ice cream I totally recommend this new spot! Lots of beautiful appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts! Cannot wait to try more menu items. Like the lobster tempura. Yum! Being a regular at Leila's; this has turned out to be a great sister restaurant. P.s. Yes they charge for bread, but the herb butter is soooo worth it!

How can anyone rate this place two or three stars? If you found Pearl District you're probably a foodie and found it on a list of the top restaurants in Ventura County, or you're more than likely a previous customer of their former restaurant "Leila's" in Oak Park. Service: Excellent Reservations: Called Saturday at 1pm.. they got us in that night. Food: Some of the best food in ventura county. Price: What you'd expect for a top 5 restaurant in the area. Wine Selection: Extensive Menu: Fine Chef's use ingredients that most restaurants don't use. Seasonality comes into play and the menu will change. We need to support local entrepreneurs that lay it on the line to bring our county amazing food and wine or you'll find yourself driving to L.A. for a night out.

Quite good...as expected. We were big fans of Leila's and so were anxious to try Pearl District. Saw a few familiar faces and the ambience is very similar. The menu was delightfully interesting with lots of creativity. Unfortunately, I was not very hungry so I only got an appetizer (crispy Brussels sprouts with pecorino cheese) and a salad (spears with blue cheese and bacon.) But they were exquisite and I can't wait to come back hungry!

Excellent. We love Leila's and now we also love Pearl District. Ambiance and service are both great. Bread was good. Freshly baked and crusty. Started with tomato soup which is served with grilled cheese triangles and the brussels sprouts as appetizers. Both were exceptional. Perfectly prepared and the portion sizes were huge. Each could have been a meal alone. We had fried chicken entree and the seared scallops. Both were exceptional. Perfectly prepared. Insanely flavorful. And again, big portions. Dessert was cookies and salted caramel ice cream. I'd call dessert average not amazing. Overall this is a wonderful place. We will definitely return and I expect in the future reservations will be harder to get!

Westlake dining just got a great addition with this New American comfort food. Chef is apparently the same as Lailas in Oak Park but I've never been. Name comes from the great restaurant district called the pearl district in Portland. Place is totally new and built out, and a little on the narrow side. Service was unreal from the start, as we were constantly served by a very attractive blonde and brunette. It felt like a new approach to service in that they were always together and addressing our every need. We asked for their input and they suggested brussel sprouts and the lobster tempura which were both fantastic. We also ordered the egg which I really liked but felt at $14 is was overpriced. Noodles dish and the vegetables and broth was rich and flavorful. Short rib and presentation was top shelf. Also ordered the mac and cheese which was just okay . Shrimp and grits were perfectly cooked and just needed a couple more shrimp to perfect the dish! Cocktails were executed perfectly! Great dining experience, manager came around and checked on us. We are and were loud, hopefully not too much, and by the time we left the place was jumping and buzzing. If they keep this up, people are gonna have a hard time getting in!

It is about TIME... What a great and refreshing meal. From the Cajun shrimps over grits to the ribeye and shoestring fries, finishing with a croissant caramel pudding! Every aspects from the service to the atmosphere and taking our time to enjoy our flavorful meal was a great experience! Have this be the next meal you won't soon forget;)

This place deserves more than 5 stars! This was our first time here and we are happy to say at long last, fine dining in Westlake Village! Nothing even comes close to this place. Service was excellent, Stephanie was the best!! The food was beautifully presented and bursting with originality and flavor. We chose to dine outside on a gorgeous nite. Inside seating is available, I'd suggest reservations. For starters we chose the roasted Brussels with pecorino, mint and honey and the pan roasted golden cauliflower . The cauliflower was indeed golden and served with shaved grana padano, herbs, lemon zest and a light sauce. So yummy! And we indulged ourselves with the roasted beet salad. Red and golden beets were roasted and served with quinoa, warm pistachio crusted goat cheese, with a kumquat sauce. Oh my goodness, amazing! My hubby had the grilled branzino while I chose the copper river salmon. The salmon was topped with the most amazing little red plums and cherries! And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, Stephanie offers us a dessert in honor of our anniversary . Warm bittersweet chocolate bread pudding with raspberry sauce, that was incredible!!! What a great restaurant, so glad to meet you!

TO and Westlake locals love Leila's so they will love Pearl District as well. Great food, atmosphere, and dining experience. You cant get fried chicken at many restaurants, but you can at Pearl District.

Service does not meet expectations. Food is mediocre for the price. Tuna tartare was served with avocado mousse that was very sweet and topped with a sweet mango relish, overkill! Roasted cauliflower was tasty. For the main course we opted for the fish special that night which was dry and the venison which was again overly sweet.

Heard great things about this restaurant, so we went for our post-Mother's Day Brunch dinner. We were still full from brunch, so we ordered light: brussel sprouts, beet salad, and branzino. The brussel sprouts are baked with honey, lemon and balsamoc vineger. I usually like the bacon that most people use to enhance the flavor, but the honey and lemon surprisingly did the trick. The beat salad is similar to other places and quite nice. The main difference is that it is deconstructed, which makes for a nice presentation in a bowl. The branzino was cooked well. The skin had a nice crisp while the meat was soft and flakey. We were most surprised to see our favorite server, Megan, from the former TOI Tapas Bar in Thousand Oaks (and Mama Ritas in Dos Vientos before that), so the service was immpeccable. The menu did remind us a little of TOI, but in a smaller, "WLV" environment. We would've loved to try more but still recovering from Mother's Day brunch, so we look forward to coming back again.

Great ambiance and food. I had the venison which was really done well and my husband had the pho. One thing I thought was odd was that we had to request bread for our table. It is made fresh which is great, but since we had to request it and it is made to order - it didn't come until we were nearly done with our meal. Otherwise everything was great. Great food, lovely drinks, and attentive service. I recommend sitting in the main "hallway" section of the restaurant as it has great ambiance.

Gray walls, dark wood, and exposed bulb lighting give the galley-like space an industrial/urban feel. Our party was led to the very back of the restaurant, into a private room space. There is a large bar and more tables in the forward area of the restaurant and heated patio. I noticed that the private room had acoustic wall panels, but the noise level was still very loud. We had trouble hearing each other when the room was full. Similar to its sister restaurant, Leila's, Pearl District offers an eclectic menu. Items run the gamut from mac and cheese to lobster tempura, and a Southern-style fried chicken. Many dishes have Asian influences. Pricing is high, with most entrees in the mid-$30 range. Portion sizes are reasonable, and appetizers can be shared. The dishes are, in a word, complex. They demonstrate a wonderful layering of flavors, many unusual and unexpected. Plating is complex as well. I ordered the Crispy Brussels Sprouts, which featured honey, mint, and parmesan. The interplay of flavors and textures was great. They also serve freshly baked baguettes upon request with a rosemary and garlic compound butter. After the starters, I hardly had room for my Scottish salmon entrée. The purple Okinawan sweet potatoes were velvety and acted as a nice foil to the savory mushrooms and daikon sprouts in the dish. DH ordered the grilled pork, which was unfortunately far too spicy for him. We wished the server/menu warned us about this, though she did mention that the kimchi was spicy. I sampled DH's apple kimchi, and it was too spicy for me (I am a regular consumer of spicy foods). Our dining partners ordered the pasta with veal ragu and the Southern fried chicken and enjoyed their dishes as well. Pearl District serves up creative food, and we would return for a special occasion.

Atmosphere is great and the food is good but overpriced. Highlights were the appetizers (lamb meatballs and lobster tempura) and the beet salad. My friend and I ordered the Branzino (fish) and southern fried chicken breast and split both meals. They were very tasty but way too ordinary for the price ($34 and $25 respectively). Service was great, but we probably won't come here too often. In case you are looking for this place, it is the space where Fins used to be.

Cucumber drink was awesome. It's called the wildwood. You should try it and out of five dishes: I loved the peach summer salad. It came with burrata, basil, pomegranates, and arugula. The other dishes were good as well. Very fresh feeling and the dishes were around $12-$14 . Enough food too! Good service as well!
(5)Melissa R.
Really good!! Brussels appetizer is the biggest hit. Memorable and delicious. Pork entree was also good. Corn cake that accompanied was very tasty. Swordfish was ok, a bit mushy...I would not order again. Beet salad was also excellent. Outdoor seating is very nice. Indoor is well spaced and not too loud. Service was the only downside. We had to ask many times for water, the bill, etc. Other than that, it was a good evening.

We love Leila's and we love the owner Peyman, so we knew we would love his new restaurant, Pearl District. Wow! We were still blown away! The ambience, the laughter, the new team, the upbeat energy and the FOOD was spectacular! We appreciate the attention to every detail of this fine restaurant! The lighting is superb, from the tiki torches outside to the industrial chic decor! Everything definitely sets the ambiance to a romantic and passionate mood! This place is packed and already a popular spot in WLV so definitely make a reservation. Even on a Thursday night it was slammed! We sat at the bar with Scott the bartender who was very hospitable, fun and full of dialogue! Everything on the menu is very yummy and the presentation is second to none! We love the lobster tempura, short ribs, and pear salad! The Lobster Tempura is a definite must order! And if you didn't like Brussel Sprouts as a kid...these will change your mind instantly! They also have a great selection of fine wines and we have never been steered wrong. We can't say enough good things about this fine dining restaurant! We have already double dated here to share the experience and have set a couple more in the near future. We appreciate the entire staff especially Peyman, Eric, Stephanie and Scott! Great service, smiles, and hospitality! Very memorable moments made every time! You all rock! Thank you for what you love to do! See you soon!

This place was absolutely amazing. Every dish my table ordered was delicious. Be careful not to fill yourself up on the amazing appetizers! What really stood out from this place was the unique combinations of ingredients within each dish and I especially loved all of their sauces. I had the crispy skin branzino and it was perfection. The place itself is really cool as well and the ambience is very pleasing. Do not miss out on this place!

This is a much needed addition to Westlake Village. If you like Leila's in Oak Park, you will LOVE Pearl District. We've been there three times since it opened and everything we've ordered has been amazing, from the appetizers to the desserts. We tried the lobster tempura, roasted carrots and the mac n' cheese...all were delicious. The baby heirloom tomato salad was my favorite, but the poached pear salad was a close second. The filet was cooked perfectly, but I did order the udon soup two of the times we went, the flavors were exploding in every spoonful. The restaurant has a New York vibe, the decor is wonderful, cool bar and the service was great. You will not be disappointed. I would highly recommend trying it out.
(5)Princessa G.
Not quite as good as Leila's and they charge $4 for bread on top of the expensive menu items Our waiter was wearing so much cologne that it became a distraction and interfered with our meal. Brussels sprouts were tasty with unique flavors

Not often the bread and butter impress me, but it just did. The duck is the best I have had in a very long time. Topped with crispy sage leaves (in a batter), it was fabulous. Great wine selection is a nice compliment to the menu. And dessert was also a winner. While they just opened, they are operating at full speed. If you have enjoyed Leila's, you will love this restaurant.

Love Leila's and now love Pear District. Four of us went for dinner and tried four appetizers - Salad with egg, Crispy short Rib, Tempura lobster roll and Tomatoes with burrata. They were all delicious. We ordered two entrees - Pork chop and Fried Chicken. Perfectly cooked and Great Tasting. If there is one criticism it would be that you have to pay $4 for bread. However, it gave me the opportunity to say no to carbs. :) Great food, service, wine list and ambience. It's a must try.

I am throughly impressed with the restaurant. The Crispy Braised short ribs just melted in my mouth. I am a fan of Beet Salads so when I tasted theirs I was extremely pleased. The Filet was done as requested and once again magnificently presented. Our waiter Oscar was attentive but not intrusive. Great personality and enjoyable to talk with. The owner Peyman Afshar was gracious and inviting. All said this was a wonderful experience that my husband and I plan on repeating often.

Great atmosphere. A good selection of spirits. Excellent food. I had the vegetarian stuffed poblano dish followed by the chocolate bread pudding. Both were phenomenal.
(5)J S.
Sophisticated decor and delicious food. We started the night hanging out at the bar munching on shrimp with grits and short ribs served over mashed potatoes. Very good. The short ribs could have been my dinner. But oh no we needed to try a few more delicious entrees. Two people at our table had the filet and they loved it! Swordfish and the branding were cooked perfectly. The sautéed veggie had a light lemon seasoning that was tangy and delicious. We didn't have dessert because we were very pleasantly stuffed but we couldn't pass up the mixologists special Spanish coffee. Delicious! The whole experience was fabulous. Peyman, great job!

AMAZING!! We've been looking for a nice place to try and Pearl District did not disappoint. Their menu wasn't up yet but their GM sent me an email and managed to get us a cozy table for two at 7 even tho Open Table said they were booked. I love basil gimlets and even tho it's not on the menu they made me a great one. We started off with the oysters (best I've ever had...large, no grainy taste, to die for sauce) and the short ribs (crispy surround with a tender and juicy middle). Our main course included the fried chicken and the Branzino which did not disappoint. Fun fact: chef's family is from Naples, and he's from New York. The last time I had such a tender and juicy Branzino with a crispy skin was in.....Naples. He has managed to put together the perfect fusion of NYC and Italy, and that's no easy task. Would definitely come back here again, and again.

Unfortunately i wish I could have left a better review.... Yes, the food was good, however, the service was not and the drinks were overpriced. If it takes me to ask where our waiter is and when the waiter arrives they are under the impression that someone else is to serve us, thats a big problem. i'm big on good service and I happily will leave a tip accordingly. It wasn't as if we were there on a holiday or a friday or saturday night, we were there on a sunday night. If they step up there game, they will do fine

My wife and I had a lovely meal here on Thursday the 26th of February for the first time. Beautifully done space that is not too loud but also not pin drop quiet. I thought the design of the space was really well planned with 3 separate seating divisions. We sat in the main 'hallway' of the restaurant and noticed one of the cool design features in windows which separated the dining area from the bar area. This enabled me to see the bar action and sneak a few quick peaks at the scoreboard on ESPN but the louder bar noise did not seep into the dining area--it remained an intimate space with voyeuristic capabilities if you so desired. Our server Kelsey was efficient and friendly and the manager checked on us several times and we enjoyed chatting with him about wine. It was obvious he took his wine selections seriously and knew what he was serving. We love sparkling wine and while we can't always afford to drink champagne wherever we go the manager turned us on to a terrific Franciacorta called 'Ca del Bosco'. It was excellent in flavor and texture. We also tried the Argyle sparkling wine from Oregon which I've always enjoyed. We sampled various menu items and enjoyed them all. The carrot appetizer was very creative and just delicious. Just goes to show simple ingredients can wow you. Blue point oysters were good and the mignonette well done. We shared a salad and both opted for fish entrees; Scottish salmon and swordfish. Both were good but the nod would have to go to the salmon--the preparation was bursting with flavor. We wrapped up with a comfort dessert of ice cream and cookies. All in all, a very elegant dining experience that was paced well. We will be back.

Always a fan of new restaurants in the area! The food was good. The service was surprisingly poor. It was Friday night and our daughter was home from law school. Because we eat out 5 nights a week, we wanted go someplace new and relaxing so Pearl District became an obvious choice. The selection of flavors on the menu is adventurous and unlike others- which is good. However, while happily eating my oysters on a half shell, which was good, I took a sip of my husbands beer because I thought it would be a much better pairing than with my cocktail and cut my lip on the broken glass. When I realized what had happened, I was swallowing my blood with the half oyster in my mouth. My husband stopped the waiter to point out the broken rim of the glass who promptly said he can get us another glass. And without an apology, brought a new glass of beer and said, "enjoy the rest of dinner." Enjoy the rest of dinner? The rest of my meal was laced with my own blood. Rather hard to enjoy.

One of the best restaurants I have been to in a long time, the service was great and the food was outstanding, great chef.

I have to say that I do love the food at Leila's but this restaurant just doesn't compare. I think the price points are way to high for the quantity of food they offer. I came in with some friends for "Happy Hour" as when I called they said they offered happy hour until 6:00 pm. Don't be fooled, the only thing on happy hour are the drinks...wine was $8.00 a glass (happy hour charge). We looked at the menu and the costs were very high. I had a friend who ate there and had the beet salad ($14) and swordfish ($32) and said it was just mediocre....just too many other options in that price range.
(2)Casey S.
Such a great restaurant! Perfect ambiance, fantastic food & amazing craft cocktails. I had the filet mignon and it was prepared perfectly. I recommend the lobster tempura & the brussel sprouts for starters! Definitely coming back.
(5)Gary F.
Do not miss this restaurant. Thankfully we were with a big group so we had an opportunity to enjoy multiple appetizers and entrees. Everything was prepared and presented exceptionally. It did not hurt that the the staff was knowledgable and friendly.
(5)Padi J.
I loved the food, ambiance, and their staff is down to earth and usually are from the other side of the hill (LA). Finally a hip place in WL! There is cool music in the background!
(5)Steven S.
I've been to pearl district twice. First time was GREAT! I enjoyed the ambiance, and the udon noodles. I was craving it Friday night and went for dinner. Second experience was disappointing. The menu had changed and the udon noodles was taken off. The server James was great, recommended a really good drink. But, It was disappointing when we asked for more bread and were told it was a $4.00 charge. For bread? What's next, are they going to charge for water? We won't be back!!!
(2)Chris M.
So missed Leilas and was super thrilled to find out that this place is owned by the same people. Loved the food here but must confess I was super bummed to NOT see the pork belly dish from Leila's. It was easily my favorite dish there and one of my all time favorites. Hopefully they bring it back!
(4)K B.
The food was delicious, service great. Wonderful selections of Oregon wines, recommended Pinot was wonderful. The appetizers were thoughtful, beet salad scrumptious and branzino rocked. Sit near the front of the restaurant. A delightful addition to Westlake a great romantic spot.
